September was a fun and packed month full of birthday celebrations. I had a nice chilled one for E’s BBQ birthday party, a really fun activity filled weekend at New Forest and Saturday just gone, an awesome night out celebrating the hubby’s birthday.
We started off the day having a late lunch of dim sum. Dim sum is probably my favourite food in general, after my mums cooking of course. I love having all the different flavours on the table so you don’t really get bored of the one taste. We had so much food leftover that it became the next days lunch! You can’t go wrong with dim sum two days in a row.
After our meal we headed off for some go karting at one of Team Sports’ tracks. I’ve been go karting before so knew what to expect, but this time round it seems I was more achy after. It may have been because I was still recovering from my bike fall the weekend before? I mean my bruise on my thigh is still there and the school girl elbow graze still hasn’t healed 100% either. Just as I thought my aching from New Forest was better, I now feel battered and bruised all over again. 🤦🏽♀️
After go karting we ended the night at a bar where we danced the night away. It was the first time in a long while that both hubby and I were both out partying together. It was actually really nice. I put heels on, did my hair and put on some lippie. For me, that was getting dressed up.
As much fun as it was, we both just kept wondering how E was doing at home with her grandma as we’ve never stayed out that late before. Clearly she was absolutely fine and we were back home in time for her late night feed and cuddles. We had such a blast with everyone who came and we are surely going to have another night out knowing that our little E is fine without us.
How does your little one cope when you have a night out?
