Yesterday I was honoured to be a guest at the wedding of two wonderful souls. They’re childhood sweethearts who have been together for 13 years before tying the knot officially yesterday.
The day started off in the afternoon with their civil ceremony, followed by a break with canapés and drinks. Thankfully for me, they had organised non alcoholic cocktails for guests too so I was able to enjoy a mocktail refreshment after the ceremony rather than a standard still water or soft drink.
A few hours later, dinner was served in a beautiful dining hall filled with twinkling romantic lights and beautifully arranged flowers as centre pieces. The food was served promptly and we all enjoyed our 3 course dinner together.
After dinner came the touching speeches from family members and close friends of the bride and groom before we all headed off to the dance floor.
The bride and groom opened the dance floor with their first dance to “Stand By Me” which was the cutest first dance everrrr! We all had a wonderful day celebrating the merging of two amazing people.
The bride was a vision of romance and elegance in her beautiful sparkly wedding gown with her long hair pinned to the side with a beautiful and simple hair piece. The groom was dressed handsomely with his blue tie and tux not outshining the bride, but definitely making his statement as the groom.
For their wedding, I went for a vintage look with my hair curled and pinned to the side with a red lipstick to match my dress. I wore a kimono style rainforest printed wrap dress which was super comfortable with my bump neatly tucked underneath. I matched my dress with green heels, a small evening bag and simple diamond earrings. It’s been a while since I’ve gotten dolled up and attended any function without E. The hubby and I were a little lost at the start without our little chicken, but it turned out to be a lovely adult day for the two of us.
